About
Barbara Noah received her B.A. in English Literature from Union College, summa cum laude, and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. After graduating from law school, she spent two years in private practice in Washington, D.C., specializing in food and drug law. She then taught Health Law, Bioethics, and other courses for eight years at the University of Florida’s colleges of law, medicine, and health professions. She has prior experience as a member of a hospital ethics committee and an institutional review board at the University of Florida’s teaching hospital and she currently serves on a hospital ethics committee and an institutional review board, both at local hospitals in Springfield, Massachusetts. She joined the Western New England University School of Law faculty in 2005, where she teaches Torts and a variety of health law subjects including Bioethics, Genetics and the Law, Medical Malpractice, Public Health Law, and Health Care Finance. Her research interests include pediatric health issues, the influence of law, culture, and religion in end-of-life decision-making, and racial disparities in health care delivery.
